Terrapin and Toad

My name is Martinus van Tee. I am an illustrator and caricaturist living in Stellenbosch, South Africa with my partner Natasha and our little dog Jeff.
My work is inspired and influenced by fairy tales, folk music, and the people and landscapes of the Western Cape.
I do occasionally work digitally, but my true love is working with pencil, Gouache and watercolours on paper. I have a particular affinity for drawing alligators and crocodiles.
When not illustrating strange and whimsical creatures I dabble in animation and voice-over.
